Diploma In Electrical Technology Program Objective

Employment Opportunities in Electrical Power Generation and Distribution Company, Telecom Industry, IT, RMG, BREB, PWD, DESA, DESCO, R&H, BPDB, MES, DPDC, PGCB, and various service sectors. Also, a Diploma Electrical Engineer can establish himself as an entrepreneur by setting up small or medium scale industrial factories.

Diploma in Electrical Technology Duration and Evaluation

Diploma in Electrical Technology is a 4-year long program consisting of 8 semesters (1 semester = 6 months). The final and mid-term exams of each semester are conducted under the supervision of the Bangladesh Board of Technical Education (BTEB). All exam questions, answer script checks and final results are published by BTEB. Apart from this, every student has to attend regular class test, quiz test and semester final project. After successful completion, a student will receive a Diploma in Electrical Technology/Engineering Certificate.

Admission process starts after SSC result. There is mainly one session in a year. Students have to follow the admission announcement given by the Bangladesh Board of Technical Education authority. Usually, the admission process starts after May (based on SSC result).

Electrical engineers have an important role in revolutionizing the life of modern man. These are required by industries manufacturing all home and office equipment like refrigerators, TVs, computers, microwaves and what not. In our age of satellite-transmitted television and intercontinental computer networks, the demand for these engineers is high. Electrical engineers find employment in nuclear power plants, hydroelectric plants as well as thermal power plants. Job responsibilities include the specification, design, development and implementation of products or systems, as well as research to create new ideas.

Electrical engineers use physics, electronics, and electromagnetism to design devices that operate or produce electricity. Admission Eligibility

Minimum SSC, Dakhil and equivalent from any discipline with minimum GPA: 2.00.

HSC (Science) students can directly appear in 3rd semester

And HSC (Vocational) students can directly appear in 4th semester. (Passed Year 2011, GPA: 2.00)

Admission Guidelines

Students are advised to submit the admit card to the admission office.

To confirm admission, students must submit

  1. 4 copies of recent PP size photograph
  2. Main copy of SSC transcript
  3. Photocopy of NID card of parents.
  4. With the properly filled admit card.

Note: Students will be admitted for limited number of seats.
